Apply for a Graffiti Abatement Grant - Printable Version

Are you tired of seeing graffiti in your neighborhood? Do you own a business or property that is constantly tagged? Have a graffiti abatement idea or want to see a mural go up in a graffiti prone area? Then apply for the Graffiti Abatement Community Grant!

The goal of the Graffiti Abatement Community Grants Program is to support community-driven improvement projects and community building opportunities with an emphasis on graffiti prevention, graffiti abatement and/or addressing locations chronically tagged with graffiti.

This grant is meant to support projects that remove graffiti in an area within the designated District Coalition's area; improve properties that have been chronically tagged with graffiti in a way that will hopefully prevent future tagging and graffiti; and build community in Neighborhood Associations and communities within Southwest Portland. Although, the intent is to remove and prevent graffiti on private and public property, the goal is to encourage mural projects throughout the city as a way to increase awareness. Projects, that support long term management of graffiti abatement are also encouraged.

Interested parties are required to attend a grant information session on Wed, July 21, 6:30pm at the Multnomah Center, 7688 SW Capitol Hwy. If you cannot attend you must contact Payal Razdan, outreach coordinator at SWNI.
